          COURSE OVERVIEW

Gain the confidence, skills and knowledge to lead a full audit of an organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO 9001:2015 and AIAG IATF 16949

This exclusive 5-day training program is the highest level of auditor training available to automotive suppliers. The course is designed to prepare first and second-party auditors to meet the new requirements of IATF 16949:2016 and customer requirements of FCA, Ford Motor Co., and General Motors Co.

IATF 16949:2016 places an increased emphasis on first and second-party auditor qualification.

This is the only IATF 16949:2016 training that combines the AIAG Supplier Auditor Certification with the Exemplar Global-Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Training.

A final examination is included at the end of the course.

In accordance with internal and supplier auditor competency requirements defined in IATF 16949 Section 7.2.3 and 7.2.4, participants are encouraged to complete the AIAG Core Tools Self-Assessment (CTSA) to assess proficiency in the core tools, prior to attending auditor training.

LMR Global is a certified Training Provider for this course.

          About ISO9001 and IATF 16949:2016

Based on ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 is one of the automotive industry’s most widely used international standards for quality management, and has been revised with the publication of a new global industry standard by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF).

IATF 16949 is a technical specification for automotive sector quality management systems, and has become one of the most extensively used international standards in the automotive industry, with the purpose of harmonizing assessment and certification systems in the global automotive supply chain. It brings together standards from across Europe and the US.

On October 3, 2016, IATF 16949:2016 was published by the IATF, superseding and replacing the current ISO/TS 16949:2009. All organizations currently certified to ISO/TS16949:2009 will need to successfully transition by 14th September 2018.

IATF 16949:2016 outlines everything you need to know about achieving best practice when designing, developing, manufacturing, installing or servicing automotive products.

It is designed to be used in conjunction with ISO 9001:2015 and contains supplemental requirements specific to the automotive industry rather than being a standalone QMS.

          IATF 16949:2016 will help organisations:

          • Promote their brand and become recognized as a leading automotive supplier
          • Integrate with other management system standards
          • Embed quality and continual improvement within the organisation
          • Increase the commitment and involvement of senior management
Install a culture of risk-based thinking which will mitigate risk and improve opportunities.

*This course can be tailored to your requirements and delivered ‘in-house’ at your premises or in one of our well equipped training venues.
