Description
Learn the process requirements your organization needs to follow to develop a coating management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. Application of this process will allow you to meet regulatory requirements and identify areas of improvement while enhancing customer satisfaction.
This new CQI-12 Special Process: Coating System Assessment has been developed to help better evaluate quality systems at coating shops supplying OEM automotive coatings. Now in its third edition, the Coating System Assessment has been updated and revised for greater clarity, and to include the ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System concepts, “process approach” and “risk management.”
Additional improvements include the new Form Builder, requirements for all test equipment associated with each process at the end of each process table, a rewritten and expanded pyrometry section, and more.

Over 30 years ago, AIAG collaborated with the domestic auto manufacturers to develop common quality methods and tools, which became known as the Quality Core Tools. The tools proved so useful that they were adopted by other manufacturing sectors, including aerospace, defence, medical, and pharmaceuticals.
LMR Global Limited can offer the Core Tool Manuals (Automotive Blue Books) and CQI documents under their partnership agreement with Plexus International as a AIAG Certified Distributor.
