          COURSE OVERVIEW

          Get an in depth understanding of the Aerospace Maintenance and Repair Sector

          The A.4 9110 Aerospace Industry Specific Course (IAQG sanctioned) for repair/maintenance is designed for individuals who need an in depth understanding of the maintenance and repair sector to support the transition to AEA auditor status.

          Students who successfully complete the IAQG 9110 Aerospace Industry Specific Course and Exam (IAQG Reference: A4) will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the aerospace industry, regulatory requirements, and related industry specific best practices and procedures including NAA requirements for maintenance/repair/overhaul stations, return-to-service process, wing walking and/or aircraft marshalling techniques, the 9110:2012 audit process and other elements.

          The highly interactive course features class quizzes, group and individual activities, and a written examination.

          WHO SHOULD ATTEND

          • Individuals who wish to work as a 3rd party auditor for a certification body.
          • Anyone who wants to be able to conduct 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits to the AS/EN 9100:2016
          • Potential certification body (CB) auditors who need to make the transition to Aerospace Experienced Auditor status sanctioned to audit AS9110 clients.

          PREREQUISITES

          Those attending this course are expected to have knowledge of the following:

          • A thorough knowledge of the latest edition of AS9110 is considered to be essential.

          LEARNING OUTCOMES & TOPICS COVERED

          Key topics include:

          • How to satisfy the requirements of BS EN 9104-003:2010
          • Understanding of the requirements covering Tool Control, return to service and flight tests
          • Understanding of CAA requirements for maintenance/repair/overhaul stations
          • Understanding of the importance of weight and balance
          • Understanding of Wing Walking
          • Identify the NAA requirements for maintenance/repair/overhaul stations (e.g. EASA 145/147, EASA Implementing Rule part M), including how to obtain additional information from the EASA web site.
          • Understanding of the tool control process
          • Understanding of the “return-to-service” process
          • Explanation (overview) of the flight test process
          • Understanding an effective functional check flight process
          • Description of the weight and balance process
          • Description of acceptable wing walking and/or aircraft marshalling techniques
          • Description of how each of the learning objectives relates to the 9110:2012 audit process

          Students who successfully complete the Course & Exam will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the aerospace/defence industry, regulatory requirements, and related industry-specific best practices and procedures.

          CERTIFICATION & EXAM

          Evidence of an attendees achievements for all learning objectives is measured through a combination of quizzes, continuous evaluation throughout the duration of the course, plus a written and multiple-choice answer examination. The examination duration is 1½ hours  with a pass-mark of 70%.

          An IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group) sanctioned certificate containing the IAQG logos is presented to each student who successfully completes the course and passes the examination.
